I know it has been a while since I’ve updated you, but a lot has been going on behind the scenes.

I have the most exciting news, and I have been absolutely bursting to tell you!

Remember when I mentioned Maggie? Well, she’s finally here.

The Singing Lighthouse, Book 1 in the Maggie Mooney’s Magical Mysteries series, is officially available on Amazon! I cannot believe I am actually typing those words.

This story is very close to my heart. It’s about a girl named Maggie who moves to a small lakeside town called Bayfield and discovers she can hear the old lighthouse singing. Nobody else can hear it. And when the Town Council announces plans to tear it down by Friday, Maggie and her two best friends Diego and Felicia decide they are absolutely not going to let that happen.

What follows involves a glowing coin, a pixie named Pip, a lighthouse spirit named Chyne (pronounced Shine), magical trials, and one very mysterious librarian named Mrs. Wise. It’s the kind of adventure I would have completely lost myself in as a kid, and I hope young readers do exactly that.

Zen has officially inspected the finished book and given it two paws up. He also sat on it twice, which in cat language means it belongs to him now. We are still negotiating.
